During the time of COVID-19, I joined Women Hack the Crisis – A Global, Virtual All-Women Hackathon.
I work in a team to help small business (Hackathon Challenge III team) and I am the product designer in this group.

We take the orange orchards as an example to show how small business owners could use an mobile app to reach retail customers.

Product Design

During the pandemic, there is a situation where supply chains are compromised, and orchards and farms have difficulty to reach buyers. Thick layer of re-sellers and supplies separate orchards from people that actually consume their fruits. To overcome this situation, we need a platform that will allow end-client to place direct order to small batch of fruit production and ship it directly to the table.

The application we envisage allows user to register, express their preferences, submit payment-related information and place the order that we will receive and fulfill. The application shall allow catalogue selection, quantity requirement, delivery options and payment. Notifications shall be sent to the user during order fulfillment process.
